HP sad over sudden death of chairman
AUCKLAND, 5 February – On behalf of Hewlett-Packard (NZ) Ltd, managing director, Barry Hastings, wishes to express great sadness at the passing of Sir David Beattie.
From 1987, Sir David has served as chairman of the New Zealand board of directors, playing an integral role in the direction of the company in this market.
“This news has come as a shock to us all. Sir David will be sadly missed. We would like to express our sincere condolences to Lady Norma and family,” says Mr Hastings.
Mr Hastings expects to represent the company at Sir David’s funeral.
