nzoom “UP THERE WITH THE BEST IN THE WORLD”
nzoom.com - the homepage for New Zealanders won New Zealand's Website of the Year award at last night's Netguide
magazine internet awards.
TVNZ’s "nzoom" site was the also joint winner in the Best News site category and finalist in Best Portal and Best Travel
sites.
The awards were judged by a panel of international judges, including representatives from Yahoo and Telstra Big Pond.
The judges said, “The breadth, clarity, design, original content and added value features (especially the multimedia
options) edged nzoom.com ahead of the other contenders. Each time we returned to the site there was another facet we
noticed and liked. It is up there with the best in the world.”
They were equally impressed with nzoom’s news site, “We rated nzoom,com highest for indepth coverage and depth of world
news including updates, and the site had the added bonus of multimedia ability which set it apart from the others,” they
said.
