Reminder to Gun Owners

Reminder to Gun Owners
"Gun ownership should be encouraged," said Libertarianz Deputy Leader Richard McGrath today. "Further, it should be quite legitimate to use a firearm when one's life or property is threatened either by criminals, or by government."
Echoing the sentiments of Peter Linton, his party's Spokesman for Firearms, Dr McGrath reminded voters that only Libertarianz recognises the right for law-abiding people to own handguns and semi-automatic rifle;: only Libertarianz would enshrine 'the right to self defence and the possession of the means thereof ' in a Bill of Rights.
"The right to be able to muster effective force in repelling rapists and murderers is all but gone in New Zealand," he said. "In Australia and UK the confiscation of weapons has been followed by a violent crime epidemic. Why? Because the criminals know their intended victims will be unarmed."
He also says the ACT party - who has wooed gun clubs for months leading up to this election - will betray this group of voters.
"ACT endorsed the confiscation of private property for 'the public good' when their leaders helped create the Resource Management Act," he notes. "They still refuse to support its abolition. In stark contrast Libertarianz would repeal that fascist law, recall all printed copies of the Act, and donate them to gun clubs to use for target practice."
"According to bumper stickers in wide circulation, one million Kiwis fish, shoot and vote," said McGrath. "These are intelligent people who will know that only one party, Libertarianz, are unequivocal proponents of their right to bear arms."
