MEDIA RELEASE
Orewa. 13 November 1999
Government is an innocent mirror of the nation's consciousness and cannot rise above the level of that consciousness, says the leader of the Natural Law Party, Mr Bryan Lee.
"This explains why so many well-meaning and enthusiastic men and women enter Parliament with high resolve and eager aspirations, only to find themselves unable to realise those aspirations," said Mr Lee.
"They feel ground down by the system, unable to break free to deliver on the ideals they expressed in their maiden speeches. Their failure reflects the fact that national consciousness will not allow them to rise to the level where success would be achievable.
"The only way forward," said Mr Lee, "is to raise the level of coherence in national consciousness and this requires knowledge of the technologies of consciousness that can make this happen. This is the unique set of credentials which the Natural Law Party brings to political life."
Mr Lee said that the technologies, Transcendental Meditation and group Yogic Flying, allowed government to operate from the causal level of all problems, instead of having to struggle at the level of the superficial expression of the problems, where no lasting solution could be found.
