ACT committed to sustainable logging - Co
ACT West Coast Tasman candidate Richard Cox says it is clear that local MP Damien O'Connor has been unable to deliver on his promises to the West Coast, and locals should look to other parties to represent their interests.
"The ACT Party is committed to supporting the productive sector and also to sustainable logging. We say it is a kick in the guts to Coasters for Labour to renege on the West Coast Accord," Mr Cox said.
"ACT Forestry spokesman Ken Shirley and I will be attending a number of public meetings in the region starting Monday. We want to hear the views of Coasters - and take them back to Parliament.
"ACT is listening. ACT is representing the right of Coasters to make a living from sustainable forestry. Coasters should give their party vote to ACT at the next election."
