Unemployment Rate At 3.3 Percent

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.3 percent in the June 2022 quarter, and the underutilisation rate was 9.2 percent, Stats NZ said today.
These rates were relatively unchanged from the unemployment rate of 3.2 percent and underutilisation rate of 9.3 percent in the March 2022 quarter.
Kei te 3.3 ōrau te pāpātanga koremahi is also available in te reo Māori.
“Measures of spare labour market capacity have fallen over the year and remained low for several quarters, continuing to show a tight labour market,” work and wellbeing statistics senior manager Becky Collett said.
