Sri Lanka - Terrorist Attack
The New Zealand Jewish Council expresses its deep sorrow about the co-ordinated Easter Sunday terrorist attacks on
churches and hotels in Sri Lanka. An attack on any house of worship is an attack on all houses of worship, as we have
been painfully reminded in the last six months, with the barbaric attacks on a Pittsburgh synagogue and mosques in our
own country.
We extend our sincere condolences to all affected families as well as the Sri Lankan community of New Zealand. We
understand the terrible disconsolation and isolation suffered when the country to which you feel a deep connection is
afflicted with terrorism.
