New Conservative extends its heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the families of those shot today in Christchurch. Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern is correct in stating that it is a dark day for New Zealand, and all New Zealanders should be able to go about their lawful business without fear of violence and harm.
"We want to thank all the emergency services for their courage, and acknowledge the sacrifices that their loved ones make when a situation like this arises and they are on the front line.
"We would also like to apologise to the Bangladeshi Cricket team as neither they, nor their families, should have to fear when travelling to New Zealand," says Leighton Baker.
We must not let one or two people destroy who we are as a nation, a friendly, hospitable people, genuinely concerned with the welfare of others.
