PM's "Tedtalk" a waste of everyone’s time
16 SEPTEMBER 2018
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Taxpayers’ Union is slamming the Prime Minister’s speech this afternoon at AUT as a “Tedtalk” focused at dividing economic cake rather than growing it.
Responding to the PM’s speech Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director Jordan Williams, said:
“Not a single mention of New Zealand’s plummeting business confidence, the Prime Minister has delivered a vision of dividing, rather than growing the economic pie.”
“The Prime Minister mentions the ‘vibe of thing’, but didn’t even mention ‘taxpayers’ or a single concrete policy to stoke, rather than smoulder, economic growth.”
“We give this a two out of ten. Compassion and kindness is one thing, but choking the goose that lays the golden egg is no way to achieve sustainable well-being in the long term”
