New National leader urged to stand up for taxpayers

The New Zealand Taxpayers’ Union has congratulated Hon Simon Bridges on winning the National Party leadership and urges the the party to hold the Government accountable to taxpayers.
Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director Jordan Williams says, “Many taxpayers are concerned that the new government will introduce new taxes and spend wastefully. Simon Bridges can earn strong support by ensuring taxpayers feel represented and protected by the opposition.”
“We look forward to seeing the new leadership team champion National’s stated values of limited government and reward for achievement.”
