Ikaroa Rawhiti Maori Party Candidate Proud of 2014 New Zealander of the Year Endorsement
Early this week the Māori Party installed large billboards around Hawkes Bay showcasing Dr Lance O'Sullivan, 2014 New Zealander of the Year and his support for the party and their Māori electorate candidates.
Marama Fox, Ikaroa Rawhiti Māori Party candidate is very proud and honoured to have someone of the calibre of Dr Lance O'Sullivan believing in the party enough to lend his support to her campaign.
"It gives credibility to the notion that we are the agents of change for our people through transformational policies that provide hope for a brighter future," says Ms Fox.
"His example and leadership in supporting whānau to address some of the most severe needs impacting on their health and wellbeing are the acts of service that spur us on to fight for social justice. His image is dependable and his trust in the Māori Party is the type of faith that demonstrates we are making a difference to the political landscape of this country".
"I am inspired by the fact that people like Marama Fox put up their hands to take on the mantle of political leadership," says Dr O'Sullivan. "I am happy to provide this public support as an acknowledgement of her commitment to her people".
