Colin Craig (sic) Launches New Website
[Satire]
Colin Craig today advised that his web presence was not large enough, especially when compared to similarly polling parties such as the Internet/Mana Party.
“After extensive discussion and advice from my full time legal team, and my IT part timer I’ve decided to proceed immediately with the launch of a real website for kiwis that really stands for something,” says Mr Craig.
Following the National Party's endorsement of Colin for the East Coast Bays seat, the Conservatives prepared the website early to help reach those National voters that were ready to see a better shade of blue.
“Not only is there information about me and my policies there are loads of features on the new site.”
“I'm offering election courses on underage corporal punishment as well as 'Closing the Closet' a special course to reverse the homosexual disease,” Mr Craig says.
“I think the public deserve a politician that will tell them what to do, and what better way than education, and what better man than me, what better time than now?”
“A high standard of political websites is essential to a properly functioning democracy. I, like most New Zealanders, am tired of websites corrupting the facts, making up stories, name calling, and generally behaving badly in political debate,” Mr Craig says.
The most amazing and newsworthy part of the website is its innovative use of relatively unknown microblogging platform 'Twitter'
“The website has a special function so that people can help reach their homosexual friends on twitter where they reside and 'tag' them in to invite them to our 'Closing the Closet' course.”
“We've been wanting to tag gay people for a long time and we find it best to reach out to them and around where they most like to be.”
