Clutha-Southland National candidate Todd Barclay has welcomed the Government’s announcement to fund new classrooms at Arrowtown Primary School.

“The new classrooms will provide safe, modern learning environments that support innovative teaching styles.
"The new classrooms at Arrowtown Primary School is exciting for the district and will help facilitate the fast-paced growth the Queenstown-Lakes are is experiencing. A strong schooling network is essential to attracting skilled and professional young families," says Mr Barclay.
Other projects already underway in the district include three recently new teaching spaces at Remarkables Primary School, construction has begun on a new school at Shotover near Queenstown, which will open in time for the 2015 school year, and planning is also under way for the relocation of Wakatipu High School by 2018.
