“Alternative Future” (NZ) Will Contest Election
Alternative Future is a fledgling political movement that will contest this year’s general election in Wellington. (AF is not a political party)
ALTERNATIVE FUTURE STANDS FOR
LIBERATING OUR COUNTRY
CONSTITUTIONAL & POLTICAL RENEWAL
REAL INDEPENDENCE
SELF-RELIANT LOCALISATION
LOCAL & NATIONAL FUTURE PROOFING
MODEL “SUSTAINABLE NATION” STATUS
A “SAFE HAVEN” FOR NZ’ERS
A GLOBAL “BEACON OF HOPE” ROLE
Today when; our country is at the mercy of foreign powers, corporations & unscrupulous party politicians; climate change is beginning to become an everyday reality; a world water & resource war looms large & our unsustainable civilisation is on the brink of collapse, we have no choice but to take radical action, to both prepare for the worst & turn things around.
As the major obstacle to becoming the model 21st century nation we’re destined & duty to be, is our “party political system” of governance, the initial aim of AF is to remove this obstacle (see AF “wrecking ball” strategy), suspend elections for 5 years & form broad based caretaker national unity Gov. to initiate & oversee wholesale renewal & transition.
Why “Alternative Future”? “Something must be done to stop our country going to wrack & ruin at the hands of sycophantic politicians, largely in the service of foreign powers, corporations, local big business and the rich & powerful”. “So as I’ve often dreamt of a better, very different future for NZ from the one most entertain today, I decided that the time was right to launch an “Alternative Future” movement”. (An unpopular move, for sure). John Overton, Founder of AF (April 2014)
The main items on the transparent AF agenda are; to grow the movement into a force to be reckoned with; take action to liberate our country from what ails it; be instrumental in preparing the way for the realisation of our “safe haven - sustainable nation” destiny; play a role in the exciting process of envisioning & shaping the real independence & renewal of our nation; be involved in transitioning our country from the old to the new.
