If John Tamihere Wants a Loan He Should Go to a Bank

Reacting to David Fishers’ piece in today’s New Zealand Herald relating to a $500,000 transaction from the Waipareira Trust on the same day as John Tamihere settled his $1.3 million Auckland home, Jordan Williams, Executive Director of the Taxpayers’ Unionsays:
“It appears that taxpayer money was used for a half a million dollar overdraft facility. If John Tamihere wants a loan he should go to a bank.”
“This could be the Kohanga Reo National Trust all over again. Taxpayer money meant for frontline services being used by the apparent custodians. John Tamihere should front up and explain.”
