Labour Selects Five New Electorate Candidates
Labour has selected a further five electorate candidates in a busy weekend of contested selections involving speeches, questions and answers, and member voting. Around half of candidate selections have now been completed.
The candidates selected this weekend are as follows:
BOTANY Tofik Mametov, an insurance representative
PAKURANGA Barry Kirker, a registered clinical psychologist
PAPAKURA Jerome Mika, a union organiser and community advocate
TARANAKI
KING COUNTRY Penny Gaylor, an Otaki Councillor on the Kapiti Coast District Council
WHANGAREI Kelly Ellis, a local lawyer
Moira Coatsworth, Labour Party President, said today:
“An impressive range of nominees has emerged in this selection round. These five candidates, encompassing legal, financial, community and clinical experience enhance that range of skills”.
