Partnership launched to build financial capability in New Zealand
Members of the financial services sector have come together in a collaborative partnership to help raise levels of financial literacy in New Zealand.
Retirement Commissioner Diane Maxwell and Commerce Minister Hon Craig Foss hosted members of the finance sector last night to celebrate the launch of The Exchange.
Ms Maxwell said The Exchange aims to deliver innovative and effective financial literacy initiatives, benefitting from a centralised effort, shared learnings, a national footprint, scalability of projects and agreement on prioritisation of goals.
‘The goal is to build financial capability which will deliver better outcomes for individuals, communities, and more broadly, the New Zealand economy.’
We are delighted that the Governor-General, Sir Jerry Mateparae, has agreed to be patron of The Exchange, and remains committed to increasing financial capability in New Zealand.
