The Treasury has released material, mainly comprising advice to Ministers, relating to the monitoring of Solid Energy, a
State-owned enterprise (SOE). The material released here was prepared by the Crown Company Monitoring Advisory Unit
(CCMAU) and the Treasury between the start of the 2006 financial year and early 2013.
CCMAU was a semi-autonomous unit of the Treasury until 2009 when it was fully absorbed into the Treasury and its
SOE-monitoring functions were transferred to the Crown Ownership Monitoring Unit (COMU) of the Treasury.
The information provided here, and a further planned release of correspondence and other relevant material, will fulfil
the Official Information Act requests the Treasury has received in relation to Solid Energy. The additional material
will also be published on this page.
