Public Lecture – Nicky Hager – “Investigative Journalism In The Age Of Media Meltdown?”
The University of Auckland’s Department of Political Studies and the Bruce Jesson Foundation present the 2012 Bruce Jesson Lecture: Nicky Hager – “Investigative journalism in the age of media meltdown?”

From National Party Headquarters to Afghanistan, why New Zealand needs investigative journalism, how it is done and what it will take to have more of it.
Nicky Hager works as an investigative journalist and author. He has written five books about New Zealand politics, public relations, intelligence and the military. These include The Hollow Men, a study of three years inside the New Zealand National Party, and most recently Other People’s Wars about ten years of New Zealand involvement in Afghanistan and the war on terror.
He lectures regularly on journalism and is the New Zealand representative in the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.
