Beehave! It's about time!
Friday, 19th of November, 2010
The revelation that Hon Anne Tolley concealed evidence of problems at private schools in order to avoid having to legislate against them, is making the rounds through the Internet.
Proof that a Government is deliberately trying to keep a part of the education system, namely private schools, completely unregulated despite evidence that children are getting hurt by unscrupulous cowboy schools is bad enough, but they're also attempting to plough more tax-payers' money into that sector while at the same time trying to convince state school teachers that there isn't any money left in the pot to increase their salary.
And despite the Ministry of Education's official statements to the contrary, the numerous comments attached to this news clearly show how contentious this issue really is for the people of New Zealand.
This is all heavy stuff.
Thankfully, Beehave, a new political satire show, is shining a humorous light on the subject, using actual comments from the politicians involved, Beehave brings fresh satirical comedy to New Zealand in the best tradition of Spitting Image and The Daily Show.
It's about time!
A preview of the show along with the first three episodes have already been uploaded. You can watch them all here:
