Gary Simpson appointed Deputy Chief Executive

Mr Gary Simpson has been appointed to the new position of Deputy Chief Executive of Kāpiti Coast District Council.

He will undertake this role in addition to his current responsibilities as Group Manager Assets and Services.

Chief Executive Pat Dougherty said he had much pleasure in making the announcement.

“Gary is a very experienced executive. He has held a number of senior positions in local government and successfully run major projects with sizeable expenditures. He has an intimate knowledge of local and regional issues, and is held in high regard by many.”

Mr Simpson will act as Chief Executive when Mr Dougherty is away. There are no other changes to reporting lines or responsibilities.
