Young Labour recommends that Smith be isolated indefinitely

Young Labour members around the country were today alarmed to hear of the serious affliction befalling the Environment
Minister, Hon. Dr Nick Smith.
Young Labour President, Patrick Leyland said: “Given the uncertain nature of his illness and the very real risk of swine
flu, we implore Dr. Smith to have the interests of our country at heart, and stay isolated in the wilderness for an
indefinite period of time.”
"We had always been suspicious that Dr Smith could be contagious and congratulate John Key on protecting all New
Zealanders by isolating him"
“At the moment Dr. Smith and any other National MPs he has been in contact with could pose a serious risk to public
health. We feel that they need to think of implications on future generations, if they continue their visits to schools,
hospitals and public meetings around the country, millions may be at risk.”
“Young Labour sincerely wishes Dr. Smith a healthy recovery, and suggests that he takes a considerable length of time to
make sure that he no longer poses a danger to the community or the environment.” concluded Leyland.
