Launch of ACT Agricultural Policy
John Ormond ACT Candidate and spokesperson on Agriculture
Monday 3 November 2008
For Immediate Release.
“The decision made at this election is vital for New Zealand’s agricultural industries”, John Ormond said today
“In particular we must stop the Emissions Trading Scheme. This pernicious piece of legislation will do nothing for climate change but it will devastate our economy
It is a mishmash of muddled thinking and bad science. It has the potential to deal a body blow to our main export earner.”
“Only ACT is totally opposed to this crazy legislation and only ACT will get rid of the ETS.”
Tomorrow I will launch ACT’s Agriculture policy in Wellington.
“I will be seeking support for ACT policies that will aid both the country and our farming industries”, Mr Ormond said.
“It seems likely that National will gain the largest single block of seats at this election.
National will need a strong coalition partner.
There is much to be done”
