Green ads acclaim goes global
Acclaim for the Green Party election campaign has gone global with the iconic ‘Aila’ billboard rating number one on the international billboard of the week spot on the highly regarded BestadsonTV.com website, an online showcase for top advertising work from around the world.
The guest judge who selected the Green Party advert is Alan Russell, Chief Creative Officer, DDB Canada, Vancouver. Alan was Strategy Magazine's top-ranked copywriter for five consecutive years, #1 Creative Director twice and has been named in Advertising Age's List of Top 10 Creatives.
The ad was designed for the Green Party by Auckland based, independent agency Special Group. It is showcased alongside work from multinational advertising giants such as BBDO, Grey and Bates, from locations as diverse as New York, Jakarta and Amsterdam.
"The feedback from our advertising has been incredible. Political and advertising commentators have rated it as the best campaign in this election. But it is the public response that has been the most rewarding. People really understand, in a simple heart-felt way, that it represents core Green Party values like caring for our children, our planet and our future," says Green Party Campaign Manager Gary Reese.
"The Green Party’s campaign is 100% Kiwi Made. We’re proud to have supported kiwi-owned advertising businesses and to have proved NZ creativity is world class.”
