Survivors Of Crime Make History As They Launch “Safe-NZ” Campaign In Taupo
Survivors and Victims of some of New Zealand’s most violent crimes will make history this weekend when they take their message to the public on the streets of Taupo.
Large numbers of Victims from throughout New Zealand will run sausage-sizzles and cake-stalls as they encourage the public to join their “SAFE-NZ”campaign.
Organizers say this will be a never-before opportunity for the public to meet some of the families and faces of New Zealand’s worst crimes.
“Most of us think something like this can never happen to us but we want the public to realize crime can strike anyone, anytime and anywhere.”
“New Zealand has become a very criminal – violent nation – and who better to take this message to the public than the victims themselves?”
Politicians have been invited to address the gathering at 5:30 / 6:30pm on the Saturday and Sunday evening in a Marquee on the Tongariro Domain, the public are welcome.
Anyone wishing to support the “SAFE-NZ” campaign can do so by phoning,
