PRESS STATEMENT FOR RELEASE
13 September 2008
Paul ADAMS first out of the blocks for East Coast Bays
Within 24 hours of the election date announcement, Former MP Paul Adams billboards have been erected in East Coast Bays.
Paul Adams is deputy leader of the Family Party and will strongly contest East Coast Bays for the third time.
“I’m tremendously excited to be standing again for the families of my electorate. The current MP, Murray McCully, ranks 11 on National’s list so there’s absolutely nothing to be gained for our electorate by voting for him because he’ll ride in on National’s list. A vote for Paul Adams achieves two local MP’s advocating for the families of East Coast Bays. That's a win-win for everyone,” says Mr Adams.
In his third consecutive election campaign, Mr Adams doubled his vote each time he stood. This time, he expects get the ultimate result and will draw on his successes in NZ rally driving, business and family for the winning edge.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in life, it’s never to give up. I’m committed to the people and families of East Coast Bays and believe I have what it takes to represent their best interests in Parliament,” he added.
