"Agenda" Links Up With University
The TVOne political interview show, "Agenda" is linking up with students from The University of Auckland's Department of Political Studies in a unique partnership to cover this election campaign.
In a new segment called "Fact Finder" each week the post-graduate students, under the direction of Senior Lecturer, Dr Jennifer Curtin, will research statements made by politicians during the campaign and investigate their accuracy.
"Agenda" will broadcast the results of the students' work each week starting from this Sunday September 14.
The programme is also seeking to involve "citizen journalists" this election. In a new segment called "Campaign Cam" it is asking viewers to send in their handy cam and mobile phone videos of politicians and political candidates on the campaign trail.
In Camapign Cam "Agenda" has three Samsung Global mobile phones from Telecom to give away for the best informal amateur video. These videos will be broadcast on-air and placed on the web site.
More information on both these segments, plus a new behind-the-scenes blog from our Executive Producer Richard Harman, is on www.agendatv.co.nz (http://www.agendatv.co.nz/).
Agenda is broadcast on TVOne at 10.00 a.m. every Sunday.
