New Zealanders looking for strong decisive leadership.
10th September 2008| Family Party Deputy Leader Paul Adams says the call for strong decisive leadership is getting
louder and louder every day from the public of New Zealand.
"The record shows that The Family Party has been displaying exactly this sort of leadership in a David and Goliath type
battle. The restraints of the Electoral Finance Act, allocated funds and budget has made it difficult for the NZ public
to appreciate how strong, creative and forthright The Family Party has really been," said Adams.
The Family Party was the first out of the blocks with the following:
1. March 2008: The Family Party voiced their real concerns in regards to the Global warming theory and how they would
oppose the proposed Carbon Taxes that would add a minimum cost of $500.00 to each and every New Zealand family. The
Family Party cares deeply about the environment and is particularly passionate about ensuring that the environment our
children stand to inherit is safe, healthy, affordable and productive.
2. May 2008: The Family Party voiced their concern at the rising food and fuel costs for the New Zealand family and
launched their policy to remove GST from the following items:
Basic (primary staple) food groups.
Infant and elderly necessities.
Household energy.
Rates (a tax on a tax)
Excise duty on fuel. (another tax on a tax)
3. July 2008: The Family Party, in agreement with the advice of a former SFO director David Bradshaw, wanted the SFO to
remain as a separate identity. (How right this is showing to be.)
"The Family Party's team operating in Mangere is producing great results. When success comes, we will be very apt at
getting great results with minimum budget which is exactly what most New Zealanders are looking for." said Adams
