Massive Book Fair Sale on Next Weekend
Tens of thousands of books at incredible prices go on sale next weekend to raise funds for Downtown Community Ministry’s work amongst Wellingtonians in need.
The massive annual Book Fair will be held at the TSB Bank Arena where over 70 000 books and thousands of DVDs, CDs and Vinyl Records will be sold.
The Book Fair is renowned for the quality of the books on offer with almost every possible category represented and most books priced at just $2.
Entry is free but shoppers are warned to get in early as the Book Fair is eagerly anticipated by thousands of avid book buyers keen to bag a bargain.
Opening hours are 9am – 5pm Saturday 6th and 10am – 4pm Sunday 7th.
This year sees an even bigger New Zealand section as well as a huge range of DVDs, CDs and Vinyl Records.
A loyal group of volunteers have been busy sorting the books into over a hundred categories so people can navigate their way straight to their favourite sections.
Book buyers have the satisfaction that their purchase will contribute towards DCM’s work with people in need.
Be it amongst people wanting a roof over their head, something to eat or getting back into the workforce DCM is making a difference in people’s lives.
