Jigsaw Supports NRL’s Stance On Domestic Violence
Jigsaw fully supports the stance that the NRL has taken over the alleged assault by rugby league star, Greg Bird on his girlfriend. Greg Bird is a NSW and Australian Rugby League Representative.
Families are impacted upon when abuse is prevalent and has been played out, her mother and father, siblings, nieces and nephews suffer, while his family members also suffer.
The Cronulla Sharks Chief Executive Tony Zappia said it was “highly unlikely” Greg Bird would play for the club this season if at all again.
NRL Chief Executive Tony Gallop maintains that Greg Bird could be banned for life if he is convicted for the abusive he committed to his girl friend and earlier to another woman.
Tau Huirama, Jigsaw CEO Strategic Relations, applauds the stance taken by The Cronulla Sharks and The National Rugby League taking an active stand in challenging violent behaviors toward their partners.
Mr Huirama supports the organisations involved for playing a leadership role in not giving special protection to, or making excuses for star players.
“Go “Australia Rugby League”. We could all internationally take a lesson from the clarity and leadership you demonstrate.”
“I commend these organisations in being clear of what behaviour they want from their players in their sport and they are adamant about the behaviors’ they clearly do not want.”
