Waikato Police are working with the British Consulate and Jewish community to return the body of an English tourist killed in a quad-bike crash to her family.
Sarah Katie BOND, 24, of Essex, England died after losing control of a quad-bike and plunging 25-30m down a steep bank near Te Anga on Saturday.
Suffering life threatening injuries when the quad-bike landed on top of her, Miss BOND died at the scene.
A post-mortem was carried out at Waikato Hospital yesterday and formal identification was carried out by a fellow English tourist.
Miss BOND'S body is expected to be flown back to England in the next two days, her body will be escorted home by an Auckland based representative of the Jewish community.
A Department of Labour investigation into the crash is continuing and the company running the adventure ride Miss BOND was taking part in has had its operations suspended.
