NOW DID I REALLY SAY THAT ABOUT KIWIBANK?
I am afraid that you did Bill. I know that as a close student of the Hollow Men , in fact you feature in it, you
realise that such policies are supposed to be undeclared otherwise people won’t vote for you but how were you to know
that some low-life was going to tape you and then release it? Dirty Tricks indeed! I mean all you said when asked if
National would be getting rid of Kiwibank is that National would eventually. You should have been applauded for answering the question of one delegate to your conference honestly. Instead just
because the whole country got to hear your honest answer about flogging off Kiwibank, you then had to have your leader
try to wriggle out of it outside of your Caucus room. John has probably become even more irate because you gave
journalists like John Armstrong in the Herald’s Wednesday’s edition room to suggest that National has been less than
truthful about the sale of Kiwibank by pointing out the five positions that National has taken:
-National has no plans to sell Kiwibank
- National will eventually sell Kiwibank
-National will not sell Kiwibank
-National is unlikely to sell Kiwibank
-National will not sell Kiwibank in its first term in government
AND THEN TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE LOCKWOOD SMITH IS CAUGHT SWALLOWING DEAD FISH
Lockwood Smith, also obviously a close student of The Hollow Men, tells another single delegate, and this also makes it
into our living rooms , that: There’s some bloody dead fish you have to swallow to get into government to do the kinds of things you want to do. I had never thought about the Kiwibank as a dead fish nor of poor old Lockwood having to swallow it. Probably John Key
is wishing that a very large and live fish, possibly as big as shark, would actually swallow Dr. Smith. Anyway, thanks
Bill and Lockwood for confirming to the country that asset sales are the real agenda for National. We are grateful.
AND THE PRIVILEGES COMMITTEE WANTS TO TALK TO MR. PETERS
This Parliamentary Committee will look into what happened to the $100,000 that Own Glenn thought that he had donated to
New Zealand First but it got lost on the way. It seems that Mr. Peters should have declared this in the register of MPs’
financial interests. No need for secret taping here as the proceedings will be in public as the scourge of big business
advises what he did with a big business donation. Hot on his tail also is Bob Jones who wants to know what happened to
his cheque of $25,000 which remains officially undeclared.
359 YEARS AFTER KING CHARLES 1, KING GEORGE TUPOU V OF TONGA FOLLOWS SUIT
King George of Tonga has just had a coronation costing $3 million dollars plus. That is about a third of what New
Zealand gives annually in aid for matters such as health, education and government reforms. Prior to this little bash
the King announced that he would be handing power over, sooner rather than later, to a democratically elected
Parliament. The King is reputed to be a keen student of history and he may have been reflecting that 359 years ago
Charles I did this but not willingly. You may have to wait sometime before the King has read about Tsar Nicholas II and
decides that it may be wise to hand over his financial wealth and the people’s assets he controls as well.
