National Agenda for Maori No Secret
Labour Te Tai Tokerau Candidate Kelvin Davis says, “National has a hidden agenda for the country, but their Maori agenda is no secret whatsoever.”
“They may be struggling to hide their true policies from the country, but Maori can be under no illusions that the National party's policy for Maori is an open book.”
“National will get rid of the Maori electorates and therefore deny Maori guaranteed representation in parliament. National's interests and Maori interests are incompatible.” Davis says.
“A Labour Government is the only way Maori can be assured the Maori electorate seats are safe.”
“Aside from their open agenda for the Maori seats, National's broader not-so-secret agenda is to unpick all the progressive and successful policy and ideas that Labour has implemented since 1999 and has ensured amongst other things that more Maori than ever are employed, paid well, living longer and going on to higher education .”
