Protest against war criminal Condoleezza Rice
Global Peace and Justice Auckland is co-ordinating a protest directed against US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on her visit to Auckland tomorrow.
Condoleezza Rice is the soft public face for the infamous Bush regime. She fronts a host of aggressive, immoral policies to expand the US empire which have resulted in numerous appalling war crimes. The most notorious of these has been the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq through which more than one million Iraqi civilians have died.
The protest will be calling for
• Condoleezza Rice to be indicted for war crimes. • New Zealand and the US to withdraw troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. • No free-trade agreement with the US
She is meeting Helen Clark and Winston Peters at Government House on Saturday 26th July.
Protest March to government house. Meet at the corner of Carlton Gore Road and Park Road 1.30pm Saturday 26th July
This will be followed by a protest from 3.15pm outside the Langham Hotel in Symonds Street where she is scheduled to meet National Party Leader John Key.
