All Black Richie McCaw swapped his rugby jersey for a flight suit today and went flying with Royal New Zealand Air Force.
The keen aviator's day began with a flight from Christchurch to Air Force Base Woodbourne in one of the RNZAF's bright yellow CT-4E airtrainers.

Once on Base the All Black spoke to officer cadets and recruits about management and leadership.
An Air Force Iroquois helicopter then flew the sportsman back to Christchurch.
For the RNZAF pilots and crew having the respected sportsman on board made the routine exercise training an experience a little out of the ordinary.
