PSA Propaganda Challenged
"The PSA Tax survey has no scientific value and is instead an ill-disguised piece of Labour Party propaganda," said Libertarianz Finance Spokesman Nikolas Haden. "The scenario presented was to have larger tax cuts at the expense of public service spending. Yet this is not a trade-off New Zealanders need to make."
According to the PSA, New Zealanders don't want to see cuts in high quality public service spending. "The Libertarianz Party challenges the PSA to identify where 'high quality' spending occurs in the following list of Government Departments, Agencies, Councils, Offices and Commissions."
"Few New Zealanders would miss the public services provided by these agencies," Mr Haden says. "Their abolition would be a great start towards removing the enormous waste of public money that is New Zealand's Nanny State."
