Police ignore vital element in Drug Enforcement
Police have issued a Report telling us that their enforcement is saving us billions in reduced Drug harm – specifically by targeting Importers, Dealers and Manufacturers – but the Users continue to be ignored.
We have legislation which makes using P illegal – but Police aren't interested in knowing who is using P, because this legislation is unenforceable.
For every Manufacturer and Dealer removed from the equation, an unknown quantity of Users are left without a supply. Their solution is to find another Dealer or make it themselves.
Not Using is not an option because of the hold P has on their brain.
This is a fact that is completely overlooked by those who tell us that Users must want to stop before help can be given.
On behalf of all the desperate parents who contact us, Fight Against P is campaigning for
- the Government funded ADANZ brochure telling us how to use P 'safely' to be removed from publication;
- the public to have access to hard-hitting anti-drug ads on our TV's, and
- families to be able to receive help when they report their kids as using drugs.
The war on P will not be won until intervention and rehabilitation of P users is available, the earlier the better.
