22 May 08. A Family Party You-tube political advertisement has blitzed a tally hailed by the Greens as a notable achievement. An online advertisement released by the Greens recorded 2,765 viewings over three weeks. The Family Party achieved 2,972 in less than three days.
‘The gamble’ was launched at last Saturday’s Family Party conference and posted online on Monday as part of their strategy towards their nationwide campaign.
Current You Tube ratings for the Family Party video include:
#1 - Most Viewed (This Week) - News & Politics - New Zealand
#1 - Top Favourites (This Week) - News & Politics - New Zealand
#1 - Top Rated (This Week) - News & Politics - New Zealand
Richard Lewis says the party intends to maximise the Internet to take its pro-family message to a nationwide audience and has a series of advertisements it will be releasing over the course of the next few months.
“While much of our campaign has been on the ground in Mangere and the wider South Auckland community, we are now cranking up our nationwide campaign, which includes maximising online opportunities like this. The strategy is made even more relevant and timely in light of recent news that New Zealanders rank amongst the highest Internet users in the world,” says Mr Lewis.
