At about 2:30 pm on 15 May 2008, a private search team located property belonging to missing Israeli tourist, Liat Okin, in dense bush near the Routeburn Track.
Queenstown Police were advised later that evening when the searchers had come out of the bush of their discovery. On Friday morning a Police search team have flown to the area and have begun a search with the private search team.
Contrary to what has been reported on a local media website, Liat has not been located.
