EFA High Court hearing tomorrow
The National Party’s challenge to the registration of the Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union as a third party under the Electoral Finance Act will be heard in the High Court in Wellington tomorrow.
The union’s registration, and its subsequent right to campaign politically, was initially upheld by the Electoral Commission following an objection by National Party activist David Farrar.
The hearing is scheduled to start at 10am and the court will be open to the media.
