ECPAT New Zealand expresses deep concern at the decision of the parole boards to allow the criminals/paedophiles/Child
Sex abusers out into the community in spite of recommendations by corrections.
Why is it the rights of the perpetrator that are considered while children are continuing to be put in put in harms way?
At the very least New Zealand must have a register for convicted Paedophiles so that parents and the wider community
will be aware and able to provide protection to children when the parole board refuses to, against professional advice!
The rights of a convicted paedophile to privacy must never be given precedence over the rights of children to be
protected.
Why should these guys get an opportunity to live happily ever after when their child victims will never be able to.
ECPAT NZ believes that the protection of children from sexual abuse must be given a high priority in New Zealand
society. Serial paedophiles who rape young children and show no remorse must be reminded that courts will deal seriously
with their actions.

One of New Zealand's most notorious paedophiles is living on a school walking route under the 24-hour supervision of a
former priest convicted of molesting altar boys.
The pair live on Mt Eden Rd, Auckland, about 700m from Three Kings School.
Two psychologists specialising in sex offenders have described the arrangement as "rare" - and one said it was
potentially risky.
The Parole Board has effectively accused Corrections officers of a witchhunt against Kitching, lashing out at those with
a mindset that releasing him from jail was "unworkable".

Alleged paedophile held kids birthday parties
An alleged paedophile held birthday parties for toddlers while on bail for numerous sex charges.
Richard Miller, 45, appeared in Napier District Court on Tuesday for breaching his bail conditions. Miller has been
charged with 12 sex crimes, including the rape and abduction of a six-year-old girl, indecent assault and unlawful
sexual connection with children aged between six and 16.
Police prosecutor John Ashfield said Miller had children at his house, including two birthday parties for boys under the
age of three.
He has also breached his electronic bail eight times.
