The Operation Waikato Enquiry team have been investigating other crimes that have occurred in Taupo in recent months as
a part of standard investigation practice.
As a result of that phase of the enquiry, a fourteen (14) year old Taupo Youth has been arrested and charged with
Wounding with intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm and Aggravated Robbery. The arrest relates to an assault complaint to
Taupo Police on Saturday the 5th January 2008.
The arrested Youth appears the Youth Court in Palmerston North today.
The homicide remains unresolved.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner repeats his appeal to the public to come forward if you have any information what
so ever that may assist this enquiry.
