North Shore - Serious Assaults

The North Shore Police are investigating several incidents of assault overnight which resulted in four young people being hospitalised from two separate attacks.
In one incident two young people were attacked at about 2.00 am while parked in a car at Milford beach. About an hour later another young couple walking along a Takapuna street were also attacked and beaten.
All four are in hospital, some with very serious head lacerations and are presently unable to speak to police. It is suspected that a group of males are responsible and there is some suggestion they were travelling thorugh the North Shore area either to or from Northland. Any further releases will be made by the North Shore Police.
