NZ Police Alert: Fatal Crash, Inangahua Junction
Location of incident: Inangahua Junction
Incident Type: Fatal Crash
Just prior to 5.00 am this morning, Wednesday 2nd January 2008, a car was travelling east on Brown Creek Road, approximately 1.5 km from State Highway 6 at Inangahua Junction, on the West Coast.
The vehicle came into collision with a middle aged male who was on the roadway.
The male was killed instantly.
The female car driver, an 18 year old local farmer worker, was not injured however she was taken to Reefton Hospital for observation.
Further enquiries are being made into the crash by Reefton Police and the Serious Crash Unit from Nelson.
The name of the deceased is not available until Next of Kin have been informed.
