NZ Police Alert: Fatal motor accident, Waverley
Location of incident: Omahina Road, Waverley
Incident Type: Fatal motor accident in Waverley
Police are currently dealing with an single motor vehicle accident on Omahina Road in Waverley (Taranaki).
I
t appears that about 8pm on Sunday night a car went over a bank. It has then taken over 3 hours before one of the occupants was able to raise the alarm.
When emergency services arrived, they located a male person about 60 metres down a very steep bank. The other male occupant was found deceased in the car wreckage.
The injured male is believed to have two broken legs, head injuries and possibly some internal injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
No further details of the deceased are avaialable at this time. Also it is too early to say which occupant was driving.
Serious Crash investigators will be attending the accident scene after daylight.
Further details can be obtained from Wanganui police in the morning.
