Enough – Please - Enough
My thoughts tonight go out to the family and friends of Emma Agnew.
Only 16 months ago myself, sister, extended family and all of New Zealand were mourning the sad loss of our loved mum,
friend and school teacher Lois Dear murdered in Tokoroa.
To the family of Emma, I know exactly what you are going through, also the anger and frustration shown today by the
people that she touched the most.
Your frustration and the want for firm justice for the loss of your beloved daughter should be forthcoming, but one can
only say the gutless coward that took Emma's life will be given more care and nurturing by our legal system, a high paid
lawyer to represent him and yes we all will have to foot this bill.
We need Right NOW the establishment of a National Centre for the victims of violent crime, the care and personal help
from those in the know would be of immense help to myself, other prior victims as well as to the family of Emma Agnew.
Today also has shown me that we as a nation have certainly in no way moved on toward the care and well being of our
society.
The parole board are still releasing maniacs and are hoping they behave themselves, even two of them as higher a risk as
Burton was, mind you one is ill and the other is on supervision within a marae, Yeah Right!!!, thank you for putting us
at ease with this.
No wonder the recent conference on advancing victims rights held in Napier wanted Parole, its uncaring and thoughtless
under achieving board abolished. Why parole these lunatics???
Rest in peace Emma and much Aroha to family and friends.
