Minister of Justice Annette King, appears to be exploiting ambiguities with her new found “law of common sense,” says
Republicans Justice Spokesman Bevan Berg.
I wonder which court might have jurisdiction over this new law. Will it be the court of public opinion, the court of
media trials, the constitutional court that we don’t have, perhaps parliament itself the highest court in the land. No
don’t tell us - the only suitable jurisdiction here will be the court of

Perhaps it is the pain of the Republicans filling the cavity left from the deceitful extraction of common sense.
What is worrying….. is that we have often heard that common sense dictates, you know, like common sense dictates that
because we are running out of time we will just have to put a whole lot of new legislation forward and pass it into law
without public submission.
Just so there is no ambiguity here, I am not being comical, I am being cynical. Perhaps a rational and thinking public
aware that common sense is more consensual than dictatorial be writing this government’s epitaph.
Here lies the government of Helen Clark,
