Tame Iti Talks To Waatea
Tuhoe activist Tame Iti will speak exclusively with Waatea News on Radio Waatea’s Tawera show tomorrow morning between 6-7am. Iti will speak in te reo Maori with award winning announcer Kingi Taurua.
Iti will talk about his experience in prison and give his views on the police action against him. Radio Waatea CEO Willie Jackson says that it’s appropriate for Tame to give his first in depth interview on Waatea. He was an integral part of Radio Waatea for at least four years and was our main Maori language broadcaster. A summary of the interview will be given in English on Waatea’s and NZ on Air’s current affairs show ‘Paakiwaha’ at 10am.
To hear the interview, tune in to Radio Waatea 603am or click on www.waatea603am.co.nz. Highlights of the interview will be broadcast throughout the day on Radio Waatea and via the Iwi Radio Network.
