Incoherent mouthpiece of political convenience
You would only have to watch the guest appearances on National TV by Police Association President Greg O’Connor to know
that behind that smiling face, there was insufficient intellectual capacity to generate the recent press release on
Incoherent Law.
“Mr O’Connor must by now be registered on the media landscape as a mouthpiece of political convenience,” says
Republicans Law and Order Spokesman Bevan Berg.
It is unfortunate that Police Officers are no longer the central focus of their president’s radar screen, because he has
allowed his position to be used as a message delivery service.
Being in possession of the prior legal advice provided to police Mr O’Connor is able to assure us that the solicitor
general is incompetent and has not erred on the side of public safety.
He has also said that being in possession of the information gathered by the NZ Police that we as a country were at risk
of an activity that was intended to be prevented by the Terrorism Suppression Act.
What When Where Who Said and Why, some might ask?
Is he staking the reputation of the minister of police on this?
I say again to Mr O’Connor if you are so damn interested in politics step up and represent the party you support and let
someone with a focus on our police officers do the job you are paid to do, the job you are not doing now.
