Press Release
For immediate release.
Contempt of the People of New Zealand.
The people of New Zealand must hold high the principles and value of Democracy, says Dario Wengrovski, associate spokesman on constitutional affairs.
“Democracy is Government of the People, for the People and by the People.”
We have seen recently that only 8 MPs listened to 'us' and accordingly voted against the Repeal of section 59 of the Crimes Act 1961.
The rest of the House of Representatives, after hearing the voice of the People of New Zealand consciously elected not to listen.
If they are not representing the People, who are our parliamentarians representing, asked Mr Wengrovski.
In a true and valid democracy, The Republicans consider that with Office comes Duty and this can not properly exist in the absence of a Constitution.
Without the protections of a Constitution, we shall continue with this undemocratic governance, says Mr Wengrovski
We, the people, need a Constitution, NOW.
